Portfolio Manager

Irina Dorogan is responsible for researching the global ETF and Index universe, as well as for other investment research related to our firm’s investment process. She operates and maintains the firm’s proprietary models for portfolio construction and data analysis, as well as contributes to asset allocation decisions. She also manages relationships with ETF and Index providers.

Prior to joining Cougar Global in 2010, Irina’s work experience includes having worked at the Turkish Embassy in Moldova where she concentrated on the economic and commercial aspects of the Embassy’s mission. Irina has a degree in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (2001). She holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation (since 2012) and is a registered Portfolio Manager Advising Representative with the Ontario Securities Commission. Irina speaks multiple languages including Romanian, French, Italian, Russian, and German, which she used during her employment overseas.
