Gwyer Moore, BASc, MBA

Director and Vice Chairman

Gwyer Moore has been involved with Cougar Global since 1999 and returns to the Board of Directors after completing a term as President of the Investment Counsel Association of Canada. Prior to joining ICAC, Mr. Moore spent 25 years in the investment industry as a senior executive and portfolio manager. Mr. Moore earned his BASc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto (1967) and his MBA at the University of Western Ontario, Ivey School of Business (1979). He has also held positions as a Governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange from 1988-1990 and as Director of the Investment Dealers Association in 1998. He maintains his registration as an Investment Counsel/Portfolio Manager with the Ontario Securities Commission.
Dr. James Breech, PhD, MBA
President and CEO
Prior to founding Cougar Global in 1993, Dr. Breech spent over fifteen years specializing in global capital markets. He taught international finance in the MBA program in the Faculty of Administrative Studies and was a tenured Full Professor at York University in Toronto. Dr. Breech earned his BA (Honours) in English Language and Literature at the University of Toronto (1966), his PhD in Hellenistic and Greco-Roman History, Religion and Culture at Harvard University (1974), and his MBA in International Finance at the Wharton School (1983). Dr. Breech is registered as an Investment Counsel/Portfolio Manager with the Ontario Securities Commission.
R. Peter McLaughlin, BA, LLB
Director
Mr. McLaughlin is President of Greenbriar Holdings Limited, a private Ontario holding company investing in small businesses in Ontario.

Mr. McLaughlin graduated from Trinity College, University of Toronto, with a major in economics and a minor in mathematics. He received his law degree from Queen’s University at Kingston and practiced corporate and commercial law at Baker & McKenzie for 16 years from 1978 to 1994.
Donald G. Baker, BA, MBA
Director
Mr. Baker is Chairman of Family Communications Inc. (publishers of Canadian periodicals including “Today’s Bride” and “Parents Canada ”).  Don is also an active volunteer with LOVE: Leave Out Violence, of which he is past Chair, and spearheads their LOVE Uganda project.

Mr. Baker lists his alma maters as Etobicoke Collegiate, Neuchatel Junior College (Switzerland), Waterloo Lutheran University and York University's Schulich School of Business.
